I trained under various coaches in several different countries, and I must say Sensei Kambiz has a unique personality and style of teaching. Sensei is in love with Judo, he is truly passionate about it. Above all, he gives fatherly support and advice to his students. Training with Sensei Kambiz is stress-free but challenging. You learn something new every lesson, and it is very rewarding and stimulating to hear his words after every training session: "No injuries; You are different now!
I took up judo when I was 37 and Sensei Kambiz was my first judo teacher. To be honest I was a bit scared and didn’t know what to expect. But from my very first class Sensei Kambiz was so friendly and supportive. He gave me the confidence needed to step on the mat and learn how to throw and fall safely, and fight on the ground.
Started training with Sensei Kambiz almost one year ago. His approach to coaching of Judo is very student centric and focuses on the core values of traditional Judo, which are as much spiritual as physical. He has a real affinity and understand of younger students, and his training methods are ideally suited to bringing out the best in them.
At my age (30+ ?) I didn't expect that I'd still be able to learn as much as what I know now in judo. More than a decade of zero training one might think that it's too late especially with the busy schedule at work and the willingness of the body and mind to train after a stressful day. Thanks to the help of my teammates and our coach Sensei Kambiz, I continuously overcome these inhibitions.
Two years ago my children started training JUDO under sensei Kambiz. After one year and after watching numerous training sessions, I finally decided to join Team Judokan Dubai. With a busy Dubai life the two weekly sessions are a beautiful break from the normal routine. Training is a mix of technique, strength, speed and fun.
